Why Middle East buyers source suits from Istanbul
Middle East buyers source suits from Istanbul because it is close, production is quick, and Turkish factories make the ceremony styles their customers ask for. Istanbul is a few hours by air from the Gulf and the Levant, and Iraq can be reached by truck.
Mark Morente has produced men's suits for more than 20 years. We run ISO 9001 certified production with capacity of 1000+ suits per day, use OEKO-TEX Standard 100 fabrics, and typically finish production in 12-15 days, depending on quantity, model and fabric availability.
We work with businesses only: importers, re-exporters, wholesalers, menswear retailers, wedding and formalwear shops, and corporate buyers. The smallest order is one lot.
Wedding and ceremony tuxedos
Weddings and formal events are a large part of the suit trade in the region. Retailers stock grooms' tuxedos, suits for brothers and close relatives, and smart 2-piece suits for guests. Our tuxedos and wedding suits are the ranges Middle East buyers ask about most.
Styles that sell well:
- White, ivory and cream dinner jackets for summer and evening weddings
- Black and midnight navy tuxedos with shawl or peak lapels
- Jacquard, velvet-look, sequin and rhinestone jackets for the groom
- Slim and modern fit 2-piece suits in navy, grey, blue and beige
- 3-piece suits with waistcoat for relatives and guests
Lighter fabrics for a hot climate
Most Gulf buyers order light and breathable cloth. Lighter wool blends and fabrics with a softer, less structured build sell best in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, where many events take place in air-conditioned halls but guests still travel in summer heat. Linen summer suits also sell for daytime events. In Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon winters are cooler, so buyers often split orders between summer and mid-weight fabrics. See our fabrics page for options.

UAE and Dubai re-export
Dubai is the main trading hub for many buyers in the region. Wholesalers there buy suits for local shops and for re-export to other Gulf states, East Africa and South Asia. Re-exporters usually ask for broad size runs, neutral labelling or their own label, and packing that keeps suits in good condition through a second shipment. If you re-export from a free zone, tell us your packing and labelling needs before production.
Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar
Retailers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait City and Doha look for clean finishing and premium details. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states have their own conformity and labelling rules for imported goods, so check with your clearing agent what applies to apparel before the first order.
Iraq and Erbil
Iraq can be reached by road from Turkey. Trucks cross from Turkey at the Habur border gate and reach Erbil, Duhok and other cities in the Kurdistan Region, with onward routes to Baghdad and the south. Erbil buyers often order wedding suits and tuxedos ahead of the busy season, and air cargo to Erbil or Baghdad covers urgent orders.
Jordan and Lebanon
Buyers in Amman and Beirut order modern business suits and wedding styles. Sea freight to Aqaba or Beirut suits larger orders, and air covers stock lots.
How ordering works
Most buyers begin with stock lots and move to private label for their best sellers.
- Stock lots. Ready catalog models in size-run lots, for example EU sizes 46-48-50-52-54-56, 6 suits per lot. Lots vary by model.
- Private label. From 100 units per style. You choose fabric, colour, fit, lining, buttons, labels and packaging.
Each order is quoted individually, with price and lead time per model and quantity. We ship door-to-door or to your forwarder, and quote shipping per destination. Read how to order and our shipping page for the full process. Duties and documents differ by country, so ask your customs broker to confirm before you ship.

Frequently asked questions
Do you supply re-exporters in Dubai?
Yes. We supply wholesalers who sell locally and re-export. We can produce under your label, use neutral labels, and adjust packing for onward shipment.
Which fabrics do you recommend for the Gulf?
Light, breathable wool blends and softer constructions sell best in the Gulf. Linen suits work for daytime events. We send fabric options with every quote.
How do you ship to Erbil?
Usually by truck through the Habur border gate, which is the main road crossing between Turkey and Iraq. Air cargo to Erbil is available for urgent orders.
What is the minimum order?
One lot from stock, for example 6 suits of one model in a size run. Private label production starts at 100 units per style.
Do you sell single tuxedos for a wedding?
No. We work with businesses only, and the smallest order is one lot. Wedding shops and formalwear retailers are welcome to ask for a quote.
