Why buyers in Central Asia and the Caucasus choose Turkish suits
Buyers from Baku to Almaty already know Turkish menswear, and many have bought it for years. Turkish suits have a reputation in the region for good cutting, reliable quality and styles that match local taste for weddings and formal events. Istanbul is also close, with direct flights to the main capitals and established truck routes.
Mark Morente has produced men's suits in Istanbul for more than 20 years. We run ISO 9001 certified production with 1000+ suits per day of capacity and use OEKO-TEX Standard 100 fabrics. Production typically takes 12-15 days, depending on quantity, model and fabric availability.
We sell to businesses only: importers, wholesalers, menswear shops, wedding suit retailers and brands. The smallest order is one lot.
Language and working together
Communication is easy for most buyers in the region. Azerbaijani buyers usually follow Turkish without difficulty because the languages are close, and many Turkmen buyers also understand a good deal of it. In Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, business is more often done in Russian or English.
We correspond in Turkish and English. Send us photos, model codes and size runs on WhatsApp or Telegram, and we reply within 24 hours on business days.
Wedding and ceremony demand
Weddings drive a large share of suit demand across the region. Families buy suits for grooms, relatives and guests, and weddings often have several events, so buyers order different styles for each. That is why importers here stock more wedding suits, tuxedos and 3-piece suits than buyers in many other markets.
Ceremony styles that sell well include:
- Shawl and peak lapel tuxedos in black, white, cream, navy and burgundy
- Jacquard and velvet-look dinner jackets
- Sequin and rhinestone styles for the groom's evening look
- 3-piece suits with matching waistcoat for relatives and guests
- Classic navy, grey and black 2-piece suits for business and everyday formal wear
Winters are cold in much of the region, so mid and heavier weight fabrics sell from autumn to spring. Lighter cloth works for summer weddings in Baku, Tashkent and Ashgabat.

Shipping routes from Istanbul
Most orders to the region travel by truck or air. Trucks leave Turkey for Georgia and Azerbaijan, and cargo for Central Asia continues across the Caspian Sea or by land routes. Air cargo is faster and suits stock lots and urgent wedding-season orders. Many buyers in the region already work with a forwarder in Istanbul who consolidates goods from several suppliers. We can deliver to that forwarder or arrange door-to-door delivery. We quote shipping per destination. See our shipping page for the options.
Russia and CIS buyers
We work with buyers from Russia and other CIS countries through their own forwarders. Payment and logistics routes can be more complex, so tell us how you usually pay and ship, and we will confirm what is possible before you order.
Ordering: stock lots or your own label
Most buyers in the region start with stock lots and add private label once their range is set.
- Stock lots. Ready catalog models sold in size-run lots, for example EU sizes 46-48-50-52-54-56, 6 suits per lot. Lot structure varies by model.
- Private label. From 100 units per style, with your choice of fabric, colour, fit, lining, buttons, labels and packaging.
Local sizing often runs in Russian sizes, which are close to EU sizes. We share a size chart for each model so you can match it to your market. Larger sizes are available in our big and tall range.
Customs rules and documents differ by country, and some of these markets belong to the Eurasian Economic Union with shared import rules. Ask your customs broker to confirm duty, labelling and certification before the first shipment. Our guide on Turkish suits for Central Asia and the Caucasus covers the steps, and how to order explains the process from quote to delivery.
