# OEM suit manufacturing to your specifications

Send us your tech pack or sample garment and we produce the suit exactly to your specs, in your fabric, at volume. We make your design for you only.

## What OEM production means at Mark Morente

OEM means we manufacture a suit that you have designed, to your technical specifications. You own the design and the measurements. We turn them into patterns, sample them, grade them across your size range and produce them in our Istanbul factory.

The difference from [private label](/private-label-suits) is where the design comes from. With private label, most buyers start from one of our existing models and adjust it. With OEM, you bring the full specification and we follow it.

| | Private label | OEM |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Our base model, adjusted | Your tech pack or sample garment |
| Patterns | Ours, already graded | Made or digitized from your specs |
| Fit approval | Usually one sample | Fit sample, then size set if needed |
| Best for | Retailers launching their own line | Brands with an established fit and design team |
| MOQ | 100 units per style | 100 units per style |

## What we need from you

A good OEM order starts with a clear specification. The ideal package contains:

- A tech pack with measurement charts for the base size and grading rules
- Construction details: canvas or fused front, shoulder, lining, seams, pockets, vents
- Fabric and trim specifications, or physical swatches
- A sample garment if you have one, which is often the fastest reference
- Label, hangtag and packing instructions
- Size breakdown and quantities per style

If part of this is missing, we can fill the gaps with our pattern team and send you the result for approval. We will always tell you which points we assumed, so nothing changes without your sign-off.

## Pattern making and grading

Our pattern makers work in CAD. We either draft the pattern from your measurement chart or digitize the pattern you send. The base size is sampled first. Once you approve its fit, we grade the pattern across your size range using your grading rules, or standard EU grading if you don't have your own.

Grading matters most for suits because jacket and trouser proportions change differently between sizes. If you sell into markets with a wider size range, such as big and tall, tell us at the start so we can check the larger sizes as well. See our [size guide](/size-guide) for the EU size runs we usually produce.

## Fit approval

We don't start bulk production until you approve the fit. The usual sequence is:

1. **Proto or fit sample** in the base size, measured against your spec sheet.
2. **Your comments** on fit, balance, length and finishing, with photos or a fit session on your side.
3. **Corrected sample** if changes are needed.
4. **Size set** for the smallest and largest sizes when the range is wide or the model is new.
5. **Pre-production approval** of the final sample with your fabric, trims and labels.

We use 3D prototyping to check a new pattern before we cut fabric, which helps reduce the number of sample rounds. Every sample comes with a measurement report so you can compare it with your spec line by line.

## Production and quality control

Bulk production is scheduled after pre-production approval and order confirmation. Production typically takes 12-15 days. The exact lead time depends on quantity, how complex the model is and whether the fabric is ready.

Production runs on our ERP system, so we can tell you where your order is at any stage. Quality is checked during cutting and sewing and again before packing: measurements against your spec, seam quality, pressing, buttons, labels and overall finish. Our production is ISO 9001 certified and we work with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 fabrics.

With a daily capacity of more than 1,000 suits, we can handle a single 100-unit style or a full seasonal programme across several styles.

## Your designs stay yours

We produce your design to your specifications and we don't sell your designs to other buyers. Your patterns, tech packs and samples are used only for your orders. If you need us to sign your own confidentiality agreement, send it with your enquiry and we will review it.

## Branding and packing

OEM orders carry your labels and packaging. We attach woven neck labels, size and care labels, and hangtags, and pack each suit in your garment bag. Cartons can be marked with your style numbers, sizes and purchase order references so your warehouse can receive the goods quickly.

## Who uses OEM production

Our OEM buyers are typically established menswear brands, department store private brands, uniform and corporate wear buyers, and importers who already have a proven fit. We ship OEM orders to [Europe](/markets/europe), [North America](/markets/north-america), the [Middle East](/markets/middle-east), [Africa](/markets/africa) and [Central Asia](/markets/central-asia).

To start, send your tech pack or reference garment details on WhatsApp. We will come back with questions, a sample quote and a production estimate.

## FAQ

### What is the MOQ for OEM suit production?

The minimum is 100 units per style. A style is one model in one fabric and colour, split across the sizes you need.

### Can you work from a sample garment instead of a tech pack?

Yes. Send us the garment and we will measure it, make the pattern and send you a spec sheet to approve before sampling.

### Do you grade patterns across sizes?

Yes. We grade in CAD using your grading rules, or standard EU grading if you don't have your own. We can sample the smallest and largest sizes for approval.

### Will you sell my design to other customers?

No. We produce your design to your specs and don't sell it to other buyers. Your patterns and samples are used only for your orders.

### How long does OEM production take?

Production typically takes 12-15 days after the pre-production sample is approved. Sampling comes before that, and the timing depends on how many fit rounds are needed.
